Thermoset acrylic resins

Thermal acrylics replace the alkyd / amine stoving enamels in automotive, metal protection and many other industries. While maintaining the optical and chemical properties of acrylic thermoplastic resins, thermoset resins have the advantage of improving chemical properties and hardness. By cleverly choosing the monomers, the amount of them and determining the density of networking, a wide range of properties is achievable.
Commercial acrylics are divided into three general categories: acrylamide, hydroxy function and carboxy function, each of which is described in detail. A large number of resins or oligomers can be used to improve the properties and performance of thermoset acrylics in combination with them: epoxy resin, amino resin, polyol addition and modification with alkyd or other binders.
PR625 and PR626 Resinfam products are thermoset waterborne resins, one based on acrylic styrene and another pure acrylic. These resins, when combined with melamine resins, form a resistant network that exhibits much better properties compared to the alkyd-melamine solventbase and other waterbase resins. Resistance to weathering, color fastness after curing and water resistance are considerable. One of the features of this resin is its excellent glossiness and durability. These resins are used in all thermoset applications such as automotive coatings, home appliance coatings, stoving industrial coatings, and so on.
