DTM is a two-in-one covering system including lining and topcoat in a material. Therefore, a DTM coating must simultaneously have the same adhesion and protection against corrosion of a suitable primer and suitable optical properties in different colors. It's easier and faster to use DTM coatings (due to the use of only one product compared to old primer/topcoat systems). In addition, due to the more rapid drying of a single-layer coating than a multilayer coating, saving energy will also benefit from the use of this technology. In the case of DTM coatings, both cases of selection the appropriate bonding technology and preparing the surface, are important in coating adhesion. In the following, the latest achievements of the R&D unit in the field of anti-corrosion coatings will be mentioned.
